Random comment at a library coding meetup stuck with me for weeks

I was at the public library downtown last Tuesday during their free coding night, fumbling through a Python script that kept throwing errors. A guy maybe 60 years old leaned over and said, "You're not learning the language, you're memorizing how to be mad at it." Has anyone else had a stranger say something small that totally reframed how you approach debugging?

Nah, getting mad is how you learn what not to do again, it's half the battle.

Laughing out loud because I tried that "learning from anger" thing yesterday when my code kept breaking. Got so mad I threw my laptop charger across the room and then spent 20 minutes untangling it. Really learned a valuable lesson about not throwing things, but the code still didn't work. So now I'm mad AND I have a tangled charger. Real productive system you got there, Jenkins.
