Swapped writing everything out longhand for VS Code snippets after losing an hour retyping the same CSS grid lines
Spent 6 months copying and pasting the same flexbox patterns into each new project until a buddy showed me how to make custom snippets, now I get the same layout done in 30 seconds - anyone else wish they'd learned this sooner?

Wait, you spent six months doing that? That hurts my soul just thinking about it. I cannot believe nobody showed you snippets sooner. That would drive me absolutely crazy, retyping the same lines over and over. Snippets are one of those things that seem small but save you so much time once you get them set up. I bet you felt pretty stupid when you saw how easy it was, but I would have been in the same boat. Good on you for finally getting it sorted.

Wow, six months?! That is brutal, @aaronlee. I felt a little sick just reading that. I remember discovering keyboard shortcuts for my text editor after like two years of clicking everything manually, and I just sat there staring at my screen for a solid minute. It's one of those things where you can't believe you didn't look it up sooner, but hey, at least you got there in the end.
