DAE get annoyed when a barista dumps your whole bag of beans into the grinder without asking
I was at this little spot in Portland called Roasted Grounds on Saturday morning and I asked for a pour over of a single origin Ethiopian they had on the shelf. The guy behind the counter grabbed my bag, dumped all 12 ounces into the shop grinder, and ground the whole thing on espresso setting before I could say a word. I just stood there watching $22 of beans turn into powder I couldn't use for anything. I paid, walked out, and now I stand at the counter with my hand on the bag until they confirm the grind size. Does anyone else have a rule about handing over your own beans, or is it just me being weird?
