Getting my espresso machine to stop leaking took three whole days

My old Gaggia Classic started dripping from the group head last month. I thought it was just the gasket, so I replaced that, but it kept happening. After checking every video online, I found a tiny crack in the brass dispersion plate that you couldn't see unless you took the whole shower screen off. Has anyone else had a leak that turned out to be something weird like that?

Honestly thought all leaks were just bad gaskets until my Silvia started acting up. Turns out the over-pressure valve was shot and dripping down the side, looked exactly like a group head leak. Took forever to find it.
