Just realized my cheap blade grinder was ruining my coffee
For ages I used a $15 blade grinder from a big box store, thinking all ground coffee was the same. Then my brother gave me his old burr grinder, a basic Baratza Encore, and the difference blew my mind. The burr grinder gave me even grounds, so my pour-over stopped tasting bitter and sour at the same time. How did I drink that muddy, uneven stuff for so long? Anyone else have a moment where a simple gear change made your morning cup actually good?
