500 tastings is a lot, but coffee cupping stops being casual after the first 100.

Does the flavor memory start getting all muddled together after a certain point? Honestly, once you've done a few hundred cuppings, your taste buds kinda just hit a wall. You stop noticing the little differences between beans and start lumping everything into "good" or "bad." Ngl, it becomes more about the company and the ritual than actually picking out flavor notes. Tbh, I'd rather just brew a cup I know I love than sit through another tasting trying to force some new opinion.
