Remember when a 'good' cup just meant it wasn't burnt?

I used to think my drip machine was fine, then a friend in Austin made me a pour-over with a scale and a gooseneck kettle. The clarity in a single cup from that setup blew my mind. Anyone else have a moment that ruined cheap coffee for them?

Oh man, the V60 for sure. That thing turned me into a total coffee snob overnight. Now I can't even look at my old machine.
