That one Wednesday where the pour over finally clicked
I spent about 6 months making okay coffee at home, nothing special. Then last Wednesday, I woke up early and decided to really watch the water pour, like slow and steady instead of my usual rush. Got the grind a bit finer than normal, used 30 grams of beans from that local roaster on Oak Street. The cup tasted like actual blueberries and chocolate, not just bitter water. Has anyone else had a random weekday where everything just lined up perfect with their brew?

Used to think people were just being dramatic about that moment when the brew just hits right. @kelly_miller80 it really was that good, like a switch flipped in my brain. Ground 28 grams of a natural Ethiopian and poured in three stages instead of two, got this syrupy sweet cup with stone fruit notes I'd never tasted before. Makes all the average mornings worth it to chase that feeling again.
