TIL the hard way: never leave a thermos in a hot car at a BLM campsite
I was out at the Alvord Desert last month and left my stainless thermos on the dashboard after sunrise. Popped the seal at noon and got a face full of pressurized coffee grounds - had to rinse my eyes out with my drinking water for 10 minutes. Has anyone else had a thermos fail like that from heat buildup?

That pressurized coffee shower sounds rough, glad you got your eyes flushed out though.

Wait, am I the only one who actually enjoys the burn from a hot coffee shower? It wakes me up better than drinking it.
