Yeah, family gatherings really bring out the amateur physicists. My aunt once spent twenty minutes trying to convince my mom that her cat might be from another dimension because it hides under the bed. The look of pure, polite confusion is a universal language at this point.

My friend's cousin got really into flat earth theory after watching some videos... he tried to prove it by saying you can't see the curve from a lake. We just nodded and passed the potato salad.
