The time a comic shop in Tacoma turned my bad week around with one old box

I was having a rough few days, you know, just one of those weeks where nothing goes right. I walked into my usual shop, The Dragon's Hoard, feeling pretty down, and the owner, Mark, pointed me to a long box of dollar books he'd just bought from an estate sale. I found a near-mint copy of 'Web of Spider-Man' #32, the first appearance of Cardiac, which I'd been hunting for years. Has a random find at your local shop ever just totally fixed your mood?

Finding a key issue in the dollar bin is the comic shop version of winning the lottery. I once pulled a beat-up copy of X-Men 94 from a quarter box, just sitting there between some 90s junk. The cover was hanging on by a thread, but who cares. That kind of luck can make you forget a whole month of bad days, not just a week.

Man, @wendy_carr, that's the dream. My best find was a super dirty copy of New Mutants 98 in a dollar box, stuck to some old Wolverine book. Took me an hour to carefully peel them apart, but it was worth every second.
