Trying to find a single issue of 'The Question' from 1988 took me almost two years

I got it in my head that I needed a mint copy of issue #17 for my collection, the one with the weird purple cover... I checked every shop in Phoenix and three big conventions, but it was always beat up or way too pricey. Finally found a clean one for $15 in a random online auction last month after giving up hope. Anyone else get stuck hunting a comic that just won't show up?

She was on the waitlist for that building for like two years and had totally moved on. Then they call her out of the blue with a corner unit on the top floor. The timing is just crazy.
