Blanket lift bags clicked for me after a job in the Gulf

I was fighting with a 500 lb anchor chain off Grand Isle until I tried hooking the bag to the lift point with a separate sling instead of using the built-in clips. It gave me way more control and kept the load stable. Has anyone else modified their rigging on the fly like that?

Built-in clips" and I don't get along either, mostly because I clip myself.
