Kirby Morgan band mask vs Ocean Reef - should've switched years ago

I ran an Ocean Reef for 3 seasons because I didn't want to drop the cash on a KM. First dive with the KM and I could actually hear my tender without cranking the volume. Wasted $1200 on the wrong mask and 3 years of bad communication.

Ha, you just described my EXACT experience with ocean reef. I spent two full seasons blaming my topside comms box for bad audio only to realize it was the mask the whole time. First dive with the KM and I heard my tender clear as day for the first time in years. I felt like such a goof for trying to save a few hundred bucks and just dealing with garbled radio chatter like it was normal.
