Kirby Morgan vs. Ocean Reef. Picked the wrong one first.
Made the switch after a nasty deco stop in 45 degree water off Port Arthur. My Ocean Reef kept fogging up and the comms were garbage. Dropped $4,200 on a Kirby Morgan 37 and it's night and day. No fog, clear comms, and my tender actually hears me now. Anyone else stick with a brand through thick and thin?

Used to think the price difference was just branding hype. Full disclosure, had an Ocean Reef for years and thought I was fine. Then did a triple dive day off the Jersey coast and couldn't hear my surface team on the third drop. Tried a buddy's KM 37 the next trip. That first dive where the comms were crystal clear and zero fog at 120 feet? Sold. Night and day difference especially when you're hanging on a deco line in cold water. Not cheap but neither is a missed ascent.
