Finally figured out why those weird network drops kept happening at the same time every afternoon

Turns out the office microwave was on the same circuit as the main switch, and when everyone heated lunch at 12:30, it caused a tiny voltage sag. I moved the switch to a dedicated line and the problem vanished. Anyone else had a client's appliance mess with their network gear?

Yeah, old fluorescent lights on the same circuit used to cause my router to reboot. Always check for shared power.

Fluorescent ballasts can send noise back through the wiring that messes with sensitive electronics. It's not just about the power draw tripping a breaker. That electrical interference can cause random resets even if the voltage looks fine. Ever try putting the router on a good surge protector with noise filtering?

My old garage door opener would knock out the wifi for a solid minute every time it ran. Drove me nuts until I found out the motor was on the same circuit as my office. Ever run into something weird like that?
