Rant: Went cheap on a PSU vs buying a quality one - almost lost a whole server rack
Last year I had to decide between a $50 no-name power supply and a $120 EVGA for a client's small office server. Boss said save money so I grabbed the cheap one. 6 months later it fried during a storm surge - took out the motherboard and 2 drives. Had to explain to the client why their QuickBooks data from Tuesday was gone. Shoulda pushed back harder. Anyone else have a cheap PSU horror story?

Cheap parts always cost more in the long run. It's like buying bargain bin tires for a highway road trip. You just set yourself up for a bigger headache later.

And then you're stuck paying double when the cheap fix fails, lol.
