Broom finish vs trowel finish on a driveway, 3 years later I wish I'd listened to my foreman
We did a 600 square foot driveway in Akron with a smooth trowel finish because the homeowner insisted it looked nicer, but after one Ohio winter and a few salt runs it's slicker than a hockey rink and I'd take the old broom finish over it any day, anyone else deal with customers pushing for the wrong texture?

Akron salt is brutal, I've seen it eat through way worse than a driveway. How much did the trowel job end up costing you in callbacks, or did the homeowner just eat it and deal? Curious if they ever admitted the broom finish was the right call.
