Chat with a guy at the supply yard made me rethink my curing blanket approach

I was loading up at R&R Concrete Supply in Denver last Tuesday and this old timer saw me grab a standard poly blanket. He said he switched to insulated blankets and wraps his slabs for 5 days instead of 3, and his crack rate dropped by half. Anyone else swap out their regular curing blankets for something with more insulation?

Ngl, I feel that old timer's pain. @roberts.troy probably knows a thing or two about those early days when poly blankets were the only game in town. Swapping to insulated blankets for that extra couple days is something I've been meaning to try myself. It's good to hear it's working out for someone though, gives me a reason to actually do it. Might have to give R&R a call and see what they stock for insulated stuff.
