Foreman in Toledo said my control joints were too late and I fought him on it for 2 pours
Honestly I was cutting joints the morning after a pour for like 3 seasons straight because thats how the last crew did it. He watched me on a 4,000 sq ft slab in Toledo and said the saw was biting too hard because I waited too long and I told him he was wrong. Next pour I cut at 8 hours instead of 18 and the blade went through like butter with zero chipping. Did two more slabs that way and not one random crack showed up at the 28 day mark. Ngl it stung to admit he was right. Any of you cutting earlier or later depending on the mix and weather, and whats your cutoff on a hot day?
