Old timer told me to wet the forms, I laughed, then the corners crumbled
Working a driveway out in Modesto last month, this retired finisher named Hank kept saying to soak the plywood forms before we poured. I figured it was old school nonsense, we were already behind schedule. Well, we skipped it to save time and the edges dried out so fast they spalled off in three spots, looked terrible. Cost us an extra $200 and a full afternoon to patch. Has anyone else had forms suck the moisture out that bad, or was it just the heat that day?
