Pushing back on constant wet curing changed how I finish slabs

Most guys on site insist on spraying water for a week straight. I tried skipping that on a garage floor last month. Just sealed it after it was firm enough to walk on. The finish is smoother and hasn't cracked at all. Now I think all that water might be doing more harm than good.

Wow, I always soaked mine too but your results make me question that.

What made you question soaking, @the_robert?

I mean I get why you'd question it @the_robert, but for me soaking still makes a huge difference in the texture. Maybe it's just how I do it, but I find they turn out way more even inside. If I skip the soak, I always end up with some bits undercooked and others overdone. Your results might vary I guess, but I'm sticking with my method.
