Update: the old timer who said to keep my magnesium float in a bucket of water was right

He told me this back in 2019 on a garage slab in Boise and I figured he was just set in his ways. Left my float dry in the truck for a month and the edges curled up like a potato chip, so now it lives in a 5 gallon bucket. Anyone else got a float that cupped on them, or is it just the cheap ones?
