Wet cure vs spray cure finally clicked for me on a hot job
Did a driveway last summer in Phoenix, 105 degrees, and the foreman insisted on the wet burlap and plastic method. Next crew over just used spray-on cure and sealed it. A month later theirs had a ton of surface checking, mine held up clean. I always thought spray was lazy but now I see it's not better for big flats. Anyone else find wet cure beats spray on hot pours?

Yeah, that wet burlap and plastic method is a pain but it works. It's like a lot of things where the old school way takes more effort but gives you a better result. Reminds me of how people try to shortcut pretty much everything these days, from patching drywall to cooking a good steak. The slow way usually wins in the end.

Phoenix heat is brutal, saw the same thing on a parking lot job last year. Wet burlap and plastic crew had zero cracking while the spray-on guys had hairline issues everywhere by week two. Old school methods just handle the thermal shock better on those big slabs.
