Yellow Lab got into my fresh pour and I nearly lost it, but the paw prints actually looked cool
I was finishing a walkway for a lady in Maplewood last Tuesday, nice broom finish, about 60 square feet. I had just edged it and was pulling the finisher trowel across the surface when her dog came barreling through the gate and ran straight across the middle. I dropped my tools and just stood there with my mouth open, thinking the whole slab was ruined. But after I calmed down and looked closer, those paw prints were perfectly pressed in, like a deliberate stamp pattern. The homeowner saw it and laughed her head off, said she wanted to keep it that way. So now I'm kind of a believer that not every mistake is a disaster, sometimes it works out. Has anyone else had a job get saved by some random accident or am I just lucky?
