A client's offhand comment about her old stylist made me double-check my whole sanitation routine
She was talking about how her previous person in Chicago would just wipe clippers on her apron between clients, and she thought that was normal. I realized some clients might not know what proper cleaning looks like, so they won't speak up if they see something off. How do you guys make your sanitation process visible and clear to clients without making them nervous?

You ever think maybe we should just wear hazmat suits?

Honestly feels like this is getting blown way out of proportion... most clients aren't watching your every move like a hawk. They're busy talking or looking at their phone. If you're doing the right cleaning steps, they'll probably notice the smell of barbicide or see you swap out tools if they're paying attention. Making a big show of it might weird them out more than just doing your job quietly. Just do what you're supposed to do and move on, nobody's checking your sanitation routine unless they're already suspicious for some reason.
