Bought a $300 'professional' hair steamer that broke after two months

I saw a few stylists online using this fancy steamer for hydration treatments and thought it would be a good upgrade for my suite. The thing worked okay at first, but the plastic housing around the steam nozzle cracked completely after about eight weeks of normal use. The company said it was 'wear and tear' and wouldn't honor the warranty. Has anyone found a steamer that actually holds up, or are they all pretty flimsy?

That warranty denial sounds like a total scam.

Man, that's so frustrating for that kind of money.
