Can we talk about my eyeliner breakthrough?

I always thought winged eyeliner was too much work for little payoff. Most people I know love it. I practiced hard and finally got it right last weekend. Used it for a night out and felt amazing. Maybe my old view was off.

What kind of brush or pen did you end up using? I saw a tip once about resting your elbow on a table for stability, and it was a total game changer for me. That awesome feeling when it finally clicks makes all the practice worth it.

Have you tried the elbow trick on vertical surfaces too? I used to think grip was everything until I focused on where my arm made contact. Letting my elbow anchor changed how much my wrist would shake, especially with softer brushes. Now I reach for a basic round sable brush more than anything because the control is finally there. That click you mentioned really is the best part, when the line just does what you want.

My art teacher drilled the elbow trick into us back in high school. I'm shocked you only just found out about it. How did you handle soft brushes before without that stability? That round sable brush would be impossible for me without anchoring my arm. Once your elbow is set, the brush just does what you want. It's crazy how such a basic tip changes everything.
