I think dry cutting is overrated and here is why

I was trimming a client's bangs in my shop in Portland last Wednesday and her hair was so dry from the heat that it snapped off in chunks instead of cutting clean, so I had to spray it down and redo the whole thing wet like I always do, and the result was way smoother has anyone else had dry cutting backfire on them like that?
