Shoutout to that time I tried a new perm wrapping method and got a frizzy mess

I took a class last month and learned a different way to wrap perms. I tried it on a client with long hair and the rods kept slipping. The result was super uneven and frizzy, not the soft curls I promised her. She was nice about it but I learned to stick with what I know on tricky hair types. Has anyone else had a perm go totally sideways on them?

The class instructor made it look so easy too! My worst perm fail was trying to save time by using bigger rods than the hair could handle. The ends got all stretched out and the roots were a tight frizzy mess. Definitely learned my lesson about rod placement the hard way.

Bigger rods to save time - been there, done that, cried about it after. Nothing like that moment when you take the rods out and realize you created a whole new problem for yourself.
