Texture spray stopped working on me after 6 months, here's what changed

I used the same sea salt spray on my clients for like half a year and it gave perfect beachy waves every time. Then last month it just started leaving this weird crunchy residue and the waves fell flat by noon. Turns out the formula sits in my cabinet too long and the salts settle or something. I shook it extra hard, still not the same. Switched to a lightweight mousse and I'm getting better results with less product. Has anyone else had a favorite texture spray suddenly quit on them like that?
