That perm I tried on my sister's hair back in 2005 still haunts me
I was working out of a tiny salon in Bakersfield and the neutralizer started running before I had all the rods in, so her ends went totally frizzy. I had to give her a choppy bob to fix it, and she didn't speak to me for two weeks. Has anyone else had a chemical process go sideways on a family member?

Man that sounds rough, chemical burns in the family are the worst kind of trauma.

Did you try aloe vera gel straight from the plant?

Friend of mine tried that once. Poor guy ended up with a rash worse than the burn he was treating. @kai602 is right about chemical burns being rough, aloe or not, you really gotta be careful.
