Was a hater of those expensive hair oils until my boss made me try one
I used to think spending $40 on a tiny bottle of argan oil was a total scam. My salon owner literally put a dropper in my hand last Tuesday and said 'just try it on your next blowout'. The way it cut my drying time by like 15 minutes and left zero frizz? I had to eat my words. Has anyone else had a product they swore was overpriced that actually proved them wrong?

Just try it on your next blowout" - that's literally exactly what happened to me with a $50 keratin spray. I was so mad when my stylist handed it to me but after one use I couldn't even be mad anymore lol. It actually did make my hair dry faster and stay smooth for like 3 days which is unheard of for me. I still side-eye the price every time I buy it though.

Picked up a $30 heat protectant from the drugstore last month that I swore would be a total waste. Girlfriend pushed me to try it after she had success with the same brand. First time using it I accidentally dumped half the bottle on my head because the nozzle was weird. But man, my hair actually dried faster and I didn't have to straighten it the next day. Three weeks later and I'm halfway through the bottle already. Still gives me pause every time I hit that checkout button though.
