Hot take: the theater screen at the Cinema 8 in Tulsa ruined big releases for me and staying home is better
Two summers ago I paid $14 to see a big summer movie at the Cinema 8 on Lewis and the guy next to me scrolled his phone the entire time and someone behind me kept kicking my seat. The movie was fine. The night was not. I started staying home and honestly, my couch, my pause button, and a $4 rental beat all of it. The part nobody agrees with me on is the sound. I got a hand me down soundbar for $60 off a neighbor and it does enough. Three friends say I am crazy and that you can't beat a real screen. What do you all think, is the theater still worth it or am I right to just stay in?
