Streaming app froze at the worst scene in 4 years, do I trust it again?

I was watching Blade Runner 2049 on my couch in Portland last Friday and right when Ryan Gosling finds the wooden horse, the app crashed to the home screen. Lost my spot, had to scrub through 20 minutes to find it, and the picture quality looked worse after the restart. Part of me says switch to a physical copy, but the other part thinks this was a one-time glitch. Has anyone else had a service do this mid-movie and just moved on, or did you ditch it for good?
