My brother said my Stardew farm looked like a spreadsheet and it hurt because he was right
He was watching me play on the couch during Thanksgiving and said every single crop was in perfect 3x3 blocks with all the same sprinklers, and that it looked like a spreadsheet and not a farm. I got kind of mad but then I looked at it and he was totally right, it was efficient but soulless. So I started a new save on the forest farm and made myself plant stuff wherever it felt right, like flowers next to the coop and a little pond area with just two crab pots. It's way messier and my gold per day is honestly sad compared to before but I actually look forward to loading it up now. Anybody else had to force themselves to stop optimizing the fun out of a cozy game?
