Stop saving your museum bugs for 'the right time'

I hoarded 14 butterflies in a chest for 2 seasons in Stardew, then realized the museum doesn't care when you donate them and I was just blocking my own storage. Turned out the only 'right time' was whenever I had the fossil and artifact spots cleared, so my routine was pure waste. Anyone else do this with fish or gems, or was I just overthinking a pixel museum?
