Thought time limits in games were dumb, then I played Stardew at 2am and got it
I used to hate when games put a time limit or a day timer on stuff. Always felt like it was rushing me and killing the vibe. Then about 3 weeks ago I was up at like 2am on a Tuesday, half asleep, just trying to water my crops before the day ended and it clicked. I had been save scumming every single bad day for like 40 hours of play and it was making the game feel like a job instead of a cozy thing to wind down with. The fact that the day just ends no matter what meant I had to actually let go of the bad stuff and just move on to tomorrow. Now I really like that the day ends when it ends, it makes every little choice feel like it matters a bit more. My farm is a total mess and I've lost a few crops to seasons changing but honestly its way more fun. Does anyone else play with the day timer on or do you mod it out so you can take your time?
