Am I the only one who gets the worst jobs right after a rainstorm?

Last week in Tacoma, I had to set a 12-ton generator pad in a site that was pure mud. The ground crew kept yelling to hurry up while I was fighting the outriggers sinking an inch every minute. How do you guys handle the pressure to work fast when the ground just isn't safe?

What kind of idiot boss pushes for speed over a stable base? That's how people get killed. I'd tell them to back off or find someone else to run the crane. No paycheck is worth getting crushed because the ground gave out. Let them yell all they want, you're the one in the seat.

Ugh, my buddy's old foreman pulled that same crap. They rushed the pad setup and a whole section sank under the load. He walked off that job the same day and never looked back. Some bosses just don't get it until something breaks.
