That old ironworker who taught me hand signals without saying a word
I was on a job in Phoenix back in July, running a Link-Belt 218HSL. An ironworker in his 60s kept waving me off every time I tried to boom up too fast. He finally walked over and showed me how to use subtle finger movements instead of big arm swings. It saved me from swinging the load into a column twice that day. Has anyone else picked up a trick from watching the older guys on site instead of asking?
