My chapter 12 outline fell apart after I switched POVs mid-scene
Was rewriting a scene from my novel where the detective finally confronts the suspect. I had it all mapped out in my head, but halfway through typing I realized I'd slipped into the suspect's perspective without noticing. Now the whole chapter's a mess, timeline's off by three hours, and I've got two characters thinking about the same lamp in different tenses. I spent last night trying to stitch it back together but it just reads like a bad mashup. Has anyone else had a POV slip wreck a draft this bad, or do I just scrap it and start the scene over fresh?
