A guy in Phoenix listed his used microwave for $1,200 and wrote 'price is firm, no lowballers'
Honestly I was just killing time on Facebook Marketplace in the Phoenix area looking for a cheap bookshelf when I saw a microwave listed for $1,200. Not a fancy one, just a normal white GE microwave with a stain inside. The description said it belonged to his late uncle and had been used to heat up exactly 4,000 meals. He even wrote out a whole paragraph about how each meal was a memory and that he had counted them all in a notebook. The comment section was going nuts, people offering him $40 and him replying 'insulting.' I think the part that got me was he had 12 photos, and 9 of them were just the same microwave from slightly different angles. It sat up there for 3 weeks before he marked it sold, and I still wonder who actually paid that or if he just gave up. Has anyone else seen a seller add a wild backstory to justify a crazy price?
