Am I the only one who thinks a $60 writing app subscription actually made me write more?
I'm torn here. On one hand I dropped $60 for Scrivener last year and it felt like a waste at first. All those folders and templates made me overthink things. But after 6 months I've actually finished two short stories and started a novel. My buddy swears by Google Docs for free and says I'm crazy. So does spending money on a tool trick your brain into taking writing more seriously or is it just a gimmick? Anyone else see results after paying for something?

Nah, you're just paying for the illusion of productivity.

Milap35 I gotta disagree, paying for something made me feel like I actually had skin in the game so I stopped half-assing it. Whatever works, right?
