Blew $30 on a writing prompt generator and it's a joke

I thought paying for one of those AI prompt generators would give me fresh ideas for my fantasy story. Instead it spat out 50 variations on 'a wizard finds a magic sword.' Total waste of cash, I'd have been better off asking my 8 year old niece for ideas. Has anyone actually used one of these things for more than character name lists?

Bought one of those for my D&D campaign once. It kept giving me plotlines that ended with "then they all wake up from a dream." Deleted it after ten minutes.

Wait, did you actually delete it before you could try tweaking the prompts? @gonzalez.rowan, a lot of those AI tools just need a little coaching to not fall back on the cliche stuff. I've had some luck with telling them "no dream endings" upfront and it works way better.
