Got a writing prompt from a dream where my cat was the town mayor

Last night I dreamed my orange tabby, Mittens, was running a small town council meeting in upstate New York. He kept meowing at budget reports and everyone took him seriously. I woke up laughing and turned it into a prompt about a pet accidentally getting elected. Anyone else ever turn a weird dream into a story idea?

Honestly, same here. I pulled out my phone right in the middle of a grocery aisle the other day because a couple in front of me said something so sweet I had to jot it down. Ngl, I even got a few looks but it was totally worth it.
