Guy at the bus stop told me his entire 300-page novel plot in 12 minutes flat

He was writing a story about a sentient escalator that falls in love with a suitcase, and by the time my bus showed up I actually kind of wanted to know what happened next, has anyone else gotten trapped in a stranger's wild story like that?

Man my buddy got stuck at a bar with some dude who spent 20 minutes explaining his screenplay about a time-traveling toaster that only works on Tuesdays. He said by the end he was actually rooting for the toaster.

The more I think about that setup, the more it starts to make sense in a weird way. A time-traveling toaster that only works on Tuesdays would have such a narrow window to get anything done, it would have to be pretty clever or desperate to make it count. @the_miles, your buddy is lucky he got to hear the whole thing because I bet there's a scene where the toaster accidentally burns the toast in 1955 and that somehow prevents a war or something. Honestly, by the end, I'd probably be rooting for it too, just out of sheer admiration for its Tuesday-only determination.
