I found my old writing notebook from high school in a box last weekend

It was in my parents' attic in Akron, full of these wild story ideas I wrote down between classes. One prompt was just 'a librarian who can hear books whispering their plots.' Flipping through it, I realized I used to just write down any crazy thought, no filter. Now I overthink every single idea before it hits the page. Has anyone else dug up their old notes and felt that way?

Finding my old poetry journal did the same thing to me. It was all raw, cringy emotion written in the back of math class. That librarian idea is actually amazing, I would read that book in a heartbeat. What do you think stopped us from just making stuff without judging it first?

Oh my god, yes. Found my old sketchbook last month and it was all these fearless, messy drawings. Now I stare at a blank page forever. What was your wildest story idea?
