That Tuesday in March when the prompts just wrote themselves for 6 hours straight
Back in high school I had this notebook of 30 story prompts I kept in my backpack, and most days I would stare at a blank page for an hour and get nothing. But one Tuesday after a snow day in March, I sat at the kitchen table and knocked out drafts for 9 prompts before dinner, one about a lighthouse keeper, one about a kid who could hear plants, stuff I still reread sometimes. Has anyone else had one random day where a single prompt word like "quiet" just unlocks a whole pile of writing, or is that just a fluke that never comes back?
