The one writing trick I found that actually got me unstuck after 3 months
I was trying to finish a short story for my writing group, but I kept hitting a wall around page 5 every time. After three weeks of staring at a blinking cursor, I tried writing the ending first, like the last scene I wanted to reach. That trick worked because it gave me a clear target, so the middle part just started flowing to connect the dots. Has anyone else tried jumping ahead in a story to break a block, or is that just a weird habit I picked up?

Hm, different strokes lol. Ending first would ruin the fun for me.

Yeah I get that "different strokes" thing for sure. I had a buddy who was all about letting the tension build, he'd drag out the final moments for like an hour just to make it last. But then one time he fell asleep right in the middle of it and missed the whole ending. He woke up so confused and annoyed, said it ruined the whole experience for him. So I guess some people like the slow burn and others just want to get to the point before they crash out.
