Can we talk about that public USB charging station at the Denver airport?

I saw one last week and remembered reading that hackers can use them to install malware, so now I only use a portable power bank when I travel.

I used to plug into those airport stations without a second thought. Reading about the malware risk a few years back was a real eye-opener for me. Now my travel bag always has a charged power bank. It just isn't worth the chance of someone getting into my phone.

My cousin got his email hacked at a coffee shop charging station, lost all his vacation photos. Took him weeks to get everything back. Makes you realize how sneaky those little USB ports can be.

The Denver airport has over 150 of those charging stations and I've used them for years with zero issues. Honestly the malware risk feels way overblown, like a story that gets scarier every time it's told. Mitchell.daniel, I get being careful but carrying a power bank is just extra weight when a simple USB data blocker adapter costs five bucks. Most of these stations are just providing power, and the real world chance of a hacker sitting there waiting is super low.
